After leaving San Francisco to travel and busk for a year through Spain and Portugal by bicycle, Chris Jones (leader of long-time SF band Scary Little Friends) starts a new project infusing folk, soul, and blues into the sound of Cosmic Street Gospel in March 2019. He teams up with longtime musical collaborator Jon Payne (Painted Horses, Bryn Loosely) to create a supergroup of local Santa Cruz mountain musicians featuring Jeff Kissell (Marty O’Reilly & the OSO, MAJK) on bass and Will Fourt (McCoy Tyler Band, Down Beets) on guitar/dobro.

BIO:
Pat Hull is a singer-songwriter based out of Northern CA. His music's foundation is built on nylon guitar, piano and voice, but both his studio albums and live performances showcase a wide array of instrumental layerings. His songs express his experiences and observations of how modern society affects the intricacies of relationships with self and others. Pat is signed to an independent record label out of Portland, OR called Dutch Records. He just released his 9th studio album called St. Clare in March, 2021.

Shadow Basket will take listeners on a road trip from Colorado to Oregon, California to Alaska, and right back on home, wherever that is. Their first EP “The Dog Bed,” released under the artist name Body Language, is a showcase of their stripped down instrumentation, intimate lyricism, and bare bones harmonies.
Diwali is the Indian festival of lights. We will be celebrating in Downtown Boulder Creek with music from Aki Kumar Band, Indian food, and dancing.

Sarah Songbird's music will be performed on the truckbed outside of lille aeske and we will allow COVID safe viewings of the artwork by Erin Wells with access to our full bar menu and food items.
Catering of food will be graciously provided by chef Eric of Plus +1 catering.

Lindsey Wall is an Indie Folk Singer-Songwriter from Santa Cruz, California. She was first inspired to write her own songs by older folk songwriters like Bob Dylan and Neil Young, but she pulls from whatever stokes a chord within her. Her songs tend to be lyrically driven by a heavy dose of emotion.

Join us for a live performance in front of lille aeske on the truck bed on Saturday, 10/17/20 at 7 PM with local musician, Erik Rozite of the Droolpigs. The evening will include music, art, beer, wine, and food. Viewing of the gallery works by featured artist Andrew Irvine, the Pheonix and CZU lighting exhibit by Christina Salinas, and jewelry by Tamara of Zialuvs will be available as part of the rising from the ashes theme.

Boulder Creek First Friday at Lille Aeske with Liz Payne
KELLY MCFARLING is an Atlanta, GA born, San Francisco-based songwriter. Her work is reflective of transitions, the wilderness, and its navigation. Sometimes she plays banjo, other times acoustic guitar. Often, she plays a Telecaster fronting her band, The Home Team, featuring pedal steel (Tim Marcus), drums (Nick Cobbett), bass (Oscar Westesson), and various other Bay Area musicians.
You are invited to a free one-hour "coffee and financial talk for musicians and artists" with Anil of Lille Æske who is an experienced financial advisor and accountant. (This talk will include how to apply for PPP, SBA, emergency grants and loans). Including live demo on how exactly to apply for the loans and what exactly to expect from the government programs.
The Art Cave 6 (Olivia Barney, Rachel Barnes, Jordan Layman, Leigh Erickson, Dana Peters, and Eliza Paul) takeover the walls of lille æske this month! It is our hope that this exhibition is the beginning of many great things between The Art Cave and Lille æske!

In the spirit of the season we’ll be celebrating First Friday (art walk) on October’s Last Thursday, with art & music by Elijah Pfotenhauer (a.k.a. Painted Ladder) alongside a costume contest, tarot readings and general tomfoolery.
