Boulder Creek’s First Friday Art Walk happens on the first Friday of every month and is an opportunity for local artists to display their work, for Valley residents to experience contemporary art and culture without leaving the mountains, for out-of-town artists to reach a new audience and for visitors to enjoy the eclectic community spirit that enlivens our little town. lille æske was an original force behind the creation of the town’s First Friday scene and continues to be a cornerstone of the festivities, offering live music and refreshments along with the art of the month.
lille æske has 350 square feet of white-cube gallery space and has hosted traditional media such as paintings and prints along with ceramics, sculpture and installation. Adjustable theater spot-lighting enables the works to be shown in the best possible light and we strive to promote the work of our rotating artists through social media posts, press releases to local media outlets, posters/fliers and a showcased space on our website in perpetuity. First Friday art hangs throughout the month and is able to be viewed and sold during our gallery hours and performance or private events.
