Aviva le Fey & Covenhoven
Aviva le Fey sings heart songs – some for love lost, and others for humanity forgotten – with a tone and cadence that somehow conjures both the vintage pop of the Fifties and the dark, dreamy sounds you might hear coming from that haunted backwoods bar in 1990s Twin Peaks, Washington.
National emerging folk/indie artist Joel Van Horne, aka Covenhoven, has dubbed his new critically acclaimed album the ocean record, because he wrote the songs while touring and exploring the west coast. Chapter 3 in the Covenhoven story, “A Kind of Revelation” continues his over-arching theme of immersion in a place, and letting that place become the centerpiece of the music.
