Lauren Wahl is a singer-songwriter and lead singer of her band Simply Put. Started in 2017, Simply Put was a duo group that grew to include a full band and released a 5 song EP "Hello, Baby" in March 2018. Featuring fiddle and keys, the EP has a mellow rock vibe and was likened to Cowboy Junkies by Divide & Conquor. The subsequent full length album "Field Notes" was funded by a successful kickstarter campaign and over 135 donors. The 10 song album features saxophone and a guest appearance by Patti Maxine on lap steel (Kiss My Lips). Whether performing solo or with a full band, Wahl's unique song-writing, story-telling and powerful vocals keep her devoted fan base engaged and wanting more. Lauren will be performing with violinist Mariah Roberts.

Melanie Ida Chopko writes and performs “wit, acuity and grace," exploring themes of belonging, our human relationship to the natural world and the divine. Crafting lyric and melody into "little jewels," the music is vivid, modern folk with a big crush on everything else. If Joni Mitchell, Nina Simone and Rebecca Solnit were neighbors and made music on Sunday afternoons, it might sound like this.
In the tradition of the citizen artist, her writing is as interested in the complexity of the world around her as the one within herself, exploring both with artistry, intimacy and humor.
Her 2016 EP Yellow Blue Alizarin, was a collaboration with six musicians and over 130 donors, accompanied by a limited-edition, 7-inch watercolor print. In between songs, she teaches “Singing Otuside the Shower” at the renown Freight & Salvage in Berkeley, creates watercolors/drawings, and trains in Aikido. Learn more at www.melaniechopko.com.
