Erasure/Found Poetry Workshop Presented by lille æske arthouse and Harpy Hybrid Review
Join us for the first event in an exciting new collaboration between lille æske arthouse and Harpy Hybrid Review literary journal — a virtual workshop that invites you to explore the art of transforming prose into powerful poetry.
Workshop Overview:
Participants will delve into the world of erasure and found poetry, two innovative forms that repurpose existing text to create new meanings and artistic expressions. Through creative techniques of selecting and/or erasing, you will reveal and highlight poetry hidden within the text.
What to Bring:
Have ready a piece or pieces of prose (such as a document, page(s) from a book, or a newspaper article) you are comfortable working with.
Who Should Attend:
This workshop is open to all levels of writers, poets, and artists, and is perfect for anyone with an interest in experimenting with language.
